New Bravo Concealment Kydex Holster

This is my second custom Kydex OWB holster from Bravo Concealment based out of Texas and I could not be happier with the fit and finish and more importantly the turn around time.  I only mention the turn around time because a certain very popular kydex holster maker expects people to wait 3 months to a year for their holsters and mag carriers.  From web store order to my house in less than 20 days.  My Glock 19 and TLR-1 fit like a glove and draws smooth and consistent.  Next up is a one for my 1911 with mag carriers to match.  Check out the photos for more details on the build quality and hit the link on the right side of my page to check them out.  You will not be disappointed.  I would put Bravo's quality up against anyone.

Shot Show 2012 Coolness

Ok, just some quick updates today.  Lots of cool stuff to look forward to coming from the 2012 Shot Show this week.  Here are some brand new goodies that I know you will want to check out.  Costa has his new line of custom 1911s being made by Nighthawk Custom.  Very sweet and I am sure very expensive, however you get what you pay for when it comes to 1911's.  Check out his page in the links section.  Chris has even more pics of this pistol in action on his Facebook page.

Magpul has some new goodies coming out too.  Now that we have all stocked up on PMAG's, seems there is a new PMAG M3 on the horizon that has better compatibility and a clever place to custom mark your mags.  Also a sweet Maglink and Slim baseplate so check them out on the Magpul link on the right hand side.  Can't wait to see what else is coming this week.

          

 

Gen 3 Glock 19 Updates

Added the polymer magwell, extended Glock factory mag release and added the Magpul speedplates to all my 15 round magazines.  The grip is vastly improved with magwell as it forces a high grip where before it was like my hand was falling off the end.  Range time last night was great.  Love the postive reset of the trigger.  I was shocked by how accurate this pistol can be.  More to come.  Make sure to check out glockstore.com to grab all things Glock.

Magpul Art of the Precision Rifle DVD

To say that this 5 disc DVD set is comprehensive is the understatement of the century.  My head is still spinning with the amount of data that pours fourth from Todd Hodnett and his Magpul students in this much anticipated training class on DVD.  All I can say is that if you are serious about long range shooting, this will bear repeated viewing.  The info is presented in a clear and common sense way that is extremely eye opening and entertaining at the same time.  All aspects of the craft are covered in depth along with an entire disc dedicated to gear, accessories and support equipment.  I can see some dollar signs in my future as a custom Remington 700, Savage 10 FCP HS Precision or Larue OBR 7.62.  If you are interested  in being the most well rounded shooter you can be, this set is required viewing in my book.  Click on the Magpul link on the right to pick one up for yourself.  Happy hunting!

First Glock, Model 19 CCW

Well, I have to say that I don't think there is a better choice for a CCW  than the Glock 19.  It is just the right size, has decent power with great capacity and is practically invisible.  I will be putting this through it's paces and will make sure to provide my full review very soon.  Oh, and have a Merry Christmas!

Chris Costa's new venture

Stoked to see Chris Costa's new site up and he already has some new training classes scheduled.  I will definitely do my best to get to a class sometime in 2012.  Nice graphic design and those long sleeve shirts are badass.  Check out the site with the link on the right hand side!

Travis is at it again! Adaptive Kalash from Panteao

I have been looking at AK's recently along with some long range bolt action rifles from Savage and Remington as my next addition to my toolbox.  After watching this trailer, I might have to grab an AK first.  Check out Travis showing the strengths and weaknesses of the AK platform and how to squeeze the most out of it.  Lots of DVD's and Blu Ray's to pick up this winter!
